The Church of Luphesie

The Church of Luphesie has a free-moving, egalitarian structure, welcoming lay worshippers and would-be clergy alike. There is very little hierarchy, though there is a general convocation every year to determine matters important to the church. Those who spend a lot of their life outside often worship Luphesie, though their wild nature may put off, or example, farmers. Their association with freedom means they have, historically, also appealed to those who may consider themselves downtrodden.

Devotional places are often outdoors and full of growing things, rather than great enclosed spaces. While most sacred places are temporary - tents set up by travelling priests, or clearings that last for a season - there are a few more permanent devotional gardens, and natural spaces which have been declared sacred.

Movement is a key part of Air and Energy’s spirit, and so priests are often travellers, and can be identified by light scarves and clothes that catch the wind. They are also often poor, as there is a belief that too many possessions ties one down.
